Aquamation
Aquamation FAQ’s
What is involved in the process of Aquamation?
Aquamation (also known as alkaline hydrolysis) uses water and alkali at a heated temperature to gently cremate the body without the use of flames. The process can take up to 24 hours and results in sterilized and disease-free remains.
Will I get my pet’s remains back after the Aquamation process?
Yes, you will receive your pet’s back in an urn of your choice.
Why would I choose Aquamation over cremation?
You may have several reasons for choosing Aquamation over Cremation. You may decide you would rather have a “flame-free” process for cremation or you may want an eco-friendlier process.
What can I do with the remains?
Many people choose to bury the remains in a memorialized area. Others choose to keep them in an urn. Some choose to spread remains in a special area. There are other options to memorialize your pet by adding the remains to keepsakes such as pendants or charms.
